Easter 2012

We had another wonderful Easter at home this year.  The day before, we colored Easter eggs with Will.  Here are the eggs while they were drying, but before they got their "glitter coat," which turned them all a gross brownish purple color:

Will taped a series of notes with arrows around the house like a map for the Easter bunny.  Apparently the Easter Bunny comes in the sliding glass door.  He's so much more practical than Santa.

The Easter Bunny came to our house while we were at Church to hide Will's eggs and leave Easter Baskets.  We let Will hunt his eggs and the boys played with their presents for a little bit.  Then, when John went down for a nap, Will helped me fill plastic eggs for John and his friends who came over to have Easter dinner with us.  Here are some pictures from the little-kid hunt:

Will helping Lucas.  Instead of picking up the eggs and putting them in his basket, Lucas decided to stomp on them and just leave them on the ground.

John dumped the contents of his egg on the ground and then ate Teddy Grahams out of the grass:

Finally talked Lucas into picking up the eggs:

Charlie also discovered they were filled with treats and gave up hunting in favor of snacking:

Then the kids played on the swing set for a while until dinner was ready.  I put several pictures in here because they are the only ones I thought to take of the boys together:

Here's Will testing out his big Easter gift, a new bike with training wheels and (even better than that) orange safety cones!

We so loved having our friends around us to celebrate Easter this year!

Aunt Shannon's Visit

We were having so much fun when Aunt Shannon came to visit that we forgot to take pictures of us all just hanging out.  We did get some great shots while we were on our mini-vacation to the DuPage Children's Museum.  Here we are the night before in the jacuzzi at the hotel.

The next day in was on to the museum.  This is the museum we loved to take Will to when we lived in Oswego, so we thought it would be fun to bring John here too.  Here are the boys waking up in the hotel room and getting in a little Sesame Street while the grown-ups were getting ready.

Should've been watching a little closer, I guess!

We had so much fun having Aunt Shannon visit us on her Spring Break.  Will and John are completely in love with her - especially John!  We can't wait for her to come back again!
